Today's game at Wrigley Field between the Cubs and Astros has been postponed. The make up game will be July 30, a scheduled off day for both teams at 1:20 CT. The Cubs, by the way, are 20-0 when they've scored 4 or more runs this season! However, they're averaging 2.2 runs in their losses. Randy Wells will pitch for the Cubs tomorrow, in a game that starts at NOON CT. Milton Bradley was going to serve his one game suspension today, my guess is that he will do so tomorrow.
Cubbie Birhdays:
Billy North (61)
This Date in Cubs History:
1960- after being traded from the Phillies, Don Cardwell no-hits the Cardinals in his Cub debut. The Winston-Salem, NC native becomes the first pitcher to keep the opponents hitless in a first start after being traded.
2003- Corey Patterson's 2-run HR in the 17th inning leads the Cubs to a 4-2 win over the Brewers.
Let's just hope for better weather tomorrow!
