Making $2.6 million this year would not be a loss for most of us, but for Cubs short stop Ryan Theriot it is a loss. Jim Hendy said that the Cubs always pay their players a fair amount, so they would not have gone to a hearing unless they really felt Theriot was being given a solid offer. Theriot's case was the last MLB case to be heard. The teams won five of eight cases this year. Theriot said that the hearing was not too bad after all, but definitely interesting.
More to come this weekend, which is the second-to-last before Spring Training games get underway!
