  • Kosuke: 22 Votes (73%)
  • Fuld: 6 Votes
  • Theriot: 1 Vote
  • Soriano: 1 Vote

Thanks to everyone who voted on that poll!

Please Vote on our new poll.

Q: What role should Jake Fox be in?

A) Backup like he is

B) Let him work on defense at AAA

C) Platoon with Bradley in RF

D) Platoon with Soriano in LF

E) Start in LF, bench Soriano

F) Start in RF Bench Bradley

G) Backup Catcher, send Hill to AAA

H) Trade him

Some other Cubs notes:

  • The Cubs granted B.J. Ryan his release. Ryan was only throwing 86-87 MPH, so even though his number were good at AAA, with the Cubs addition of John Grabow Ryan most likely was not going to get called up.
  • Ryan Theriot's arm was swollen from being hit on Tuesday. He should be ready to go tomorrow.
  • Minor League pitcher Jason Waddell was released yesterday for violating team regulations.
  • Jason Marquis is scheduled to pitch against his former team on Saturday.
  • According to Jon Heyman, the Cubs will claim Mark Teahen if he is put on waivers. (Thanks to Cubs Corner).

NL Central Standings:

  • 1. Cubs: 57-49
  • 2. Cardinals: 0 GB, 59-51
  • 3. MIL: 4 GB
  • 4. HOU: 5 GB
  • 5. CIN: 11.5 GB
  • 6. PIT: 12.5 GB
