Weather Update, Bruce Miles will not travel with the Cubs

We are looking good right now, there is only a 25% chance of rain during the game tonight in New York for the opening of the new Yankee Stadium. Should be a fun night. Between tuning up for the regular season, the final bullpen spot, the new stadium, and the fact that the Cubs are playing the Yankees, there is plenty on the line even though the outcome doesn't count in the standings. However, there are 2 things that you cannot predict; baseball and the weather.

Here is the hour by hour forecast for the Bronx tonight from weather.com.

Shifting gears a little: The Daily Herold's Cubs writer Bruce Miles will no longer be covering the Cubs on the road and traveling with the team according to Ed Sherman. It costs the paper more than 6 figures to have Bruce and Sox writer Scot Gregor travel with the team all year. Bruce will not even be there on Opening Day in Houston!

Check out the MLB.com tour of Yankee Stadium.

Don't forget, we will get ready for the regular season when we talk Cubs Sunday night at 7 PM CT in our live chat right here on Sunday night! Get all your Cubs comments and questions ready. You can e-mail me a question or comment anytime it's cubsblogmailbag@aol.com

Only 2 days left until Opening Day!
