Cubs winning big tonight! Here are a few notes:
  • Tyler Colvin joined the Cubs today and made his major league debut in center field.
  • Reed Johnson was activated from the DL.
  • Sam Fuld was give the nod to take some ABs.
  • Jeff Samardzija will take Ted Lilly's spot in the rotation on Wednesday. This will be Samardzija's second career start. Lilly is suffering tendinitis in his left shoulder.
  • Jim Hendry wants to trade Bradley this offseason. According to Carrie Muskat, the Cubs "are not a good fit" for Bradley. After hearing the players talk on Sunday about Bradley, Carrie says it is "clear he need to move on".
  • Bradley's agents are not returning any calls according to Bruce Miles.
  • The Cubs are hoping to get a good look at Colvin. Could he be in the plans for 2010?
  • Would you like to see the Cubs Milton Bradley trade for Oliver Perez?
  • The Cubs DFA Thomas Diamond to make room for Tyler Colvin on the 40 man roster. Diamond had a 4.20 ERA at AA and AAA in his brief Cub career.
