MLB Draft Preview: Day 1

This Tuesday, the MLB First Year Player Draft will take place. On Tuesday, the MLB Network will cover the draft from 5-7:30 CT. After that, MLB.com will have Live coverage for the rest of the draft. Tomorrow I will take a look at the Cubs draft history, but right now let's take a look at some notes for this year's Cubs draft:

• Cubs MLB.com draft preview video.
• Billy Williams will represent the team at the draft.
• The Cubs first pick will be 31st overall.
• The Cubs lost a supplemental round pick (44th overall) for signing Milton Bradley.
• Here is the full first round order.
• The Cubs are focusing on doing well deep in the draft according to Carrie Muskat.
• The Single-A Short Season Boise Hawks will open their season June 20. A lot of the Cubs draft picks will go to Boise.
