Cubs Win, Injury Updates

The Cubs came back and won yesterday by a score of 6-2. Notes from the win:
  • Derrek Lee returned to the Cubs lineup and went 0-3 with a walk.
  • Milton Bradley hit a key 2-run homer to give the Cubs the lead for the first time, in the 6th inning.
  • Rich Harden pitched 6 innings and gave up just 2 runs.
  • Heilman, Marmol, and Gregg all threw scoreless frames in relief.
  • Bobby Scales delivered his first career home run.
  • Kosuke stayed red hot at the plate with a 3-5 day.

Updates on Ramirez and Zambrano:

  • Carlos Zambrano will make a rehab start this weekend for the Daytona Cubs.
  • Everything is going well and Big Z is schedule to return at the end of the 15 days, which is a week from yesterday.
  • We've heard at least a month, and know we're hearing at least 6 weeks for Ramirez to recover from his shoulder injury, possibly 8!

Cubs VS Padres tonight at 7:05, Ted Lilly will pitch against Chris Young.

I'll keep you posted on the injuries!
