Grabow to the Cubs?

First of all, the Cubs placed Reed Johnson on the 15-day DL today with his broken foot. Jeff Stevens, who was sent down yesterday, was called back up today. The Cubs are going with 13 pitchers for now, but Lou Piniella hinted on the pre-game show today on WGN Radio that that won't last long. Most likely either Stevens or Atkins will be sent down tomorrow, Sam Fuld will join the team in Miami according to Bruce Miles. It is possible however that the Cubs would add an outfielder via trade to take that spot.

According to ESPNChicago.com, The Cubs are in the process of finalizing a traded with the Pirates that would send left handed reliever John Grabow to Chicago.

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette is reporting that Tom Gorzelanny will also be sent to the Cubs in this trade!

According to Chris DeLuca, the Cubs are still interested in adding a backup outfielder as well.

Update The Cubs have added pitchers John Grabow and Tom Gorzelanny from the Pirates. The Cubs sent pitchers Kevin Hart and Jose Ascaino and third baseman Josh Harrison to the Bucs in return. Hart picked up his a win and pitched a great game today and then was traded.

Gorzelanny will take Hart's spot in the rotation until Lilly returns.
Could more moves be on the way? I'll update you later tonight!
