DeRosa, Miles, Ramirez Another Loss, and More

  • The Cubs have lost 2 of 3 to the Chicago White Sox, with a loss today that I don't even want to talk any more about.
  • Late last night Mark DeRosa was traded to the Cardinals for Chris Perez and a PTBNL. The Card got him for pretty much nothing. The Cubs could have easily given up just Kevin Hart and got De-Ro back. Mark is what the Cubs really need right now. And to make matters worse, he was traded to the rival Cardinals.
  • Reports suggest that Mark Teahen is on the Cubs radar.
  • The Cubs are expected to DL Aaron Miles tomorrow with a hyper extended elbow. Sam Fuld could be called up to help the Cubs outfield.
  • Angel Guzman could pitch on Tuesday for the Peoria Chiefs in a minor league rehab.
  • Aramis Ramirez took BP for the 3rd day today.
  • According to Carrie Muskat's blog, the Cubs did not talk with the Indians about trading for DeRosa. The Cubs felt there asking price was too high. (Chris Perez!!! Are you kidding me?)
  • Phil Rodgers of the Chicago Tribune thinks the Cubs should put Carlos Zambrano on waivers.

That's it for now, but I'll keep you posted.

  1. I dont get it, Zambrano sice coming off the DL had a era in the 2's like in 4 starts and he just has 1 bad game. Look at what Lilly did in his last start and he is not saying anything. Actally Zambrano pitched better thab Lilly if you compare there last starts. If the Cubs did waived him, the Cubs will finish in last place. Who cares if you hit somebody its the White Sox. Danks did it to Freel on purpose and you dont hear him saying anything about that. It is a BS story.
