Gaudin Released, Samardzija send to AAA

The Cubs have settled the final 2 spots in the bullpen by releasing Chad Gaudin and sending Jeff Samardzija back to AAA Iowa. This is the move that me and many others were guessing would happen. This means that the Cubs bullpen is:

• Kevin Gregg, Closer
• Carlos Marmol, Set-up
• Aaron Heilman, Set-up
• Neal Cotts, lefty
• Luis Vizcaino, Middle Relief
• Angel Guzman, Long Man
• David Patton, Middle Relief

I'm very happy that the Rule 5 Draft pick David Patton made the team. I wish that Samardzija was in the bullpen instead of Vizcaino, but The Shark could get called up if...

A. Guzman or Patton Struggles

B. Harden get injured.

C. Marshall struggles in the rotation

D. Anyone goes on the DL.

E. Someone is traded.

The bad new is that right now the Cubs have no one that they could send to AAA in the bullpen.
