Soto Update

Geovany Soto is going to miss at least the first 2 games of the Brewers series and possibly the whole series according to the Tribune. Soto injured his shoulder making a throw to second in the second game of the season. The good news is, Soto will not be placed on the DL. The Cubs are not expected to make a roster move. Koyie Hill will be the starting catcher for the time being, and Aaron Miles is the emergency backup.

A few other notes:
  • Kosuke Fukudome is feeling more relaxed this year.
  • The Cubs have added 20 games in Spanish on the radio this year on 1200 AM. April 21 VS the Reds will be the first Cub game broadcast in Spanish.
  • I've been hearing some You Know Who to the Cubs rumors. I'd hate to even say the name... OK I'll say it..... Jake Peavy. Lots of media reports have been mentioning the possibility, but to me it all seems like speculation, hope, and guesses. I will try to avoid mentioning his name on this blog as much as possible.
  • Samardzija and Atkins did not pitch well in the AAA game yesterday. Click for more info.
  • Don't forget to vote on our poll!

Off Day Over! Game just 5 hours away!
